Jason Quintel Harkless, better known by the stage name Brother J, is an independent Christian rapper, song writer, and businessman. A product of Wilmington, North Carolina, Brother J grew up between the best of two worlds: his family’s deep ties to gospel music and the years he spent soaking up Hip-Hop & R&B.

 

Honing his craft of Music compositions, song/video arrangements, and his songwriting abilities has landed him in the spotlight to perform in front of some of the industry's greats. In one interaction, renowned producer, Ninth Wonder, endorsed Brother J, proclaiming “You are the REAL DEAL” As his career progressed, Brother J knew that he was called to enlighten the world and to spread a bigger message to the masses and then his journey began towards using his talent for a music ministry.

 

For over twenty years Brother J has been privileged to witness, firsthand, the outpouring of amazing miracles that has taken place in the lives of people while listening to his music. Brother J is fueled by his passion to see people all over the world inspired to worship and praise God through Spirit-born music and lyrics. He has a passion for the glory of God! This reflects in his writings and productions, delivered under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
